Leroy's Birthday

Leroy's first birthday is tomorrow. We are going to the dog park tomorrow where we will get to meet Leroy's brothers and sisters and maybe his dog Daddy will be there too!

Mommy went to the pet store and bought some birthday presents for Leroy's brothers and sisters. She bought them each a bag of our favorite treats (Old Mother Hubbard Bac'N'Cheese, our favorite treat ball, and 2 little cans of Nutro Naturals Desserts for Dogs in Carrot Cake and Apple Torte!

We haven't tried the desserts yet, but mom says we can have some after dinner. She got us some too. She also got some presents for Leroy. We can see them on the counter but she won't give them to me, I mean him, tomorrow.

And, guess what? Our Daddy's birthday is Sunday the day after Leroy's! He will be 31 years old which is like 4 in dog years. Now I know what mom means when she says dad acts like a 5 year old. She must mean he is acting really old!

Leroy's Bobos

Leroy is always getting bobos. He's always getting scratches on his face or legs. Today he has a scratch on his foreheard as long as his paw! Its not bleedin' or anything but momma sighed when she saw it. "Another bobo!" she exclaimed, "People are gonna think I beat you!"

Leroy is a baby

Leroy likes to pretend that our kennel liner is his momma. He drags it over to his bed and sucks on it, sometimes until he goes to sleep. He presses his paws against it as if he is nursing on it! Some times he plays with it, getting under it and kicking it around, biting it, acting like it is playing back. . .

Momma thinks it cute, but I think its embarrassing.

(And yes, that stick in the bed is something Leroy dragged in. He loves to chew on sticks, which is much more manly than a fleece kennel liner!!)

Puppy love

A couple days ago mom & dad took Leroy across the street. The guy that plays werk with dad lives there with his family. They have a mini human, something that must be a scientific marvel in the human world, but I digress. They have a new puppy in the family and her name is Ellie. I haven't met her yet, but Leroy came back with some news.

He is IN LOVE.

He went on and on about how even though she is a "rat terrier" she looked a lot like a Boston. He said she has a perfect spot on the middle of her back and is the prettiest thing he has ever seen. He said she can run real fast too and is very nice, just a little nervous around him cause he is bigger.

I don't get it. Love is for pansies, I say.

Sneaky Leroy

I was napping next to mom while she was working this afternoon and we heard Leroy crying in the kitchen. Mom rushed in to see what was wrong and look what we found!

Leroy had climed on the dishwasher door to try to get to the treats but couldn't get down by himself! Mom wouldn't help him until after she grabbed the camera to take a picture, which I think is just mean.

Leroy's 3 Meme's

I tried to get Leroy's 7 meme's, but he is so little he can only count to three (he says "tree") and got confused when I tried to get him to give me more than 3 answers.

Leroy was confused here since he can't read yet. Also, he says the books are up high, so how could he get to them to see which ones shred the best?  He does like the pictures and stories from the books in my list however, especially:

2. The Gas We Pass: The Story of Farts
3. Everyone Poops

Three Movies That I Watch Over and Over Again:

Leroy was confused here too. He never noticed the TV because if the TV is on, then mom is sitting on the couch, and that means Leroy is working hard to get into her lap. She is usually playing with her strings, so its hard work trying to maneuver onto her lap.

Three People (or Dogs!) I Want To Join In Too:

1. Mom (I told him I already picked her but he wouldn't listen)
2. Frankie (I told him Frankie isn't on the internets, but once again he wouldn't listen)

Bad Leroy

Mom wouldn't let Leroy sit in her lap tonight, so Leroy poopoo'd on Mom and Dad's bed. I don't think Santa brings presents to little dogs who poopoo on beds. Mom and Dad said Leroy can't sleep in the big bed for awhile now. I bet he cries tonight. Maybe I will sleep in the kennel with him to keep him company.

I see a neck ache in Leroy's future...
